Upload Routine
Please follow these recommended procedures based on your computer operating system:
Note: Customers using an Edge 605/705 and Colorado handheld should follow the Mac procedures regardless of operating system.
PC (top)
1) Connect
Connect the USB or serial cable to both your GPS and computer. Turn on GPS.
2) Launch Agent
Open the MotionBased Agent application on your computer.
Note: The first time you use the MotionBased Agent you will be prompted to enter the username and email address associated to your MotionBased account.
3) Upload
Click Synchronize Activities. It usually takes less than 30 seconds to extract the data from GPS device.
If you have an Internet connection, the Agent will send your activity information directly to your Inbox at the MotionBased.
If you don't have an Internet connection, the Agent will store your activity information until you have an Internet connection. Simply click on Send Queued Activities when it appears.
4) Reset Data
One last step... after the GPS data is collected by the Agent, you must Reset Data on Forerunner/Edge devices or Clear Tracks on other Garmin devices.
Mac (top)
1) Connect
Connect the USB or serial cable to both your GPS and computer. Turn on GPS.
2) Goto Upload Page
Go to the Upload page at MotionBased.
Note: Make sure installed the Garmin Communicator Plugin.
3) Upload
Click Upload. It usually takes less than 30 seconds to extract the data from GPS device.
4) Reset Data
One last step... after the GPS data is collected by the Agent, you must Reset Data on Forerunner/Edge devices or Clear Tracks on other Garmin devices.
